Accessibility
There are blue-badge bays in the venue car park and an accessible toilet on the ground floor. All A-boards at the venue will include an NFC tag which you can scan with your phone to access an electronic version of the info (like a QR code), you just need to have a modern smart phone with an internet connection. Tags will be located on the top left corner of each board. Also look out for NFC tags on your tables too…! (The NFC tags for the table cards are located on the bottom right of the card.) There will be a designated spending area for guide dogs which will be pointed out to you on the day.

Text Description of the Venue
You will arrive at The Chester Fields in the car park of the venue.
There are two entrances to the venue as you look at the building; one
entrance is through a set of double doors from the car park, the other
is around the right side of the building through the garden.
When you enter the entrance through the double doors from the car
park, ahead of you is a long thin room. On your left hand side you
have a door that takes you to the toilets and on your right you have
an opening to the bar. This room will have multiple uses throughout
our day; it may be used for the ceremony if we need to be indoors, it
will be where we are seated to have the meal, and it will later be
transformed into the dancefloor.
With your back to the
double doors, through the door on your left to the toilets you will be
in a stairway; the disabled toilet is on your left, the gents straight
ahead of you, and stairs to your right. On the landing upstairs the
ladies loos is on your right.
With your back to the double doors, if you turn to your right heading
towards the bar area, the bar will then be on your left along this
wall. Heading straight ahead here and keeping the bar on your left
will take you towards a door out to the garden, passing a staircase up
to a mezzanine on your right along the way. Once through the door, you
can turn right to arrive back in the car park.
With your
back to the double doors from the car park, you can walk straight on
down the length of this long thin room. You will go up one step to a
raised area and a staircase to the mezzanine in front of you. When we
sit down for dinner, tables Cambodia and USA are up on the mezzanine.
At the bottom of the mezzanine stairs there is another door out to the
garden on your right.
The outdoor space includes a patio
area with assorted tables and chairs, lots of trellises with plants
and lighting, a pizza smoking shed with some seating, and a fairly
large lawn overlooking the countryside. Look out for a few
inconsistent steps around the patio area. We’re aiming to have our
ceremony outdoors on the lawn if the weather allows!
We
hope you’ve found this tour useful. It’s by no means comprehensive,
but we hope it gives you some idea of the lay of the land. 😊
